About T. K. Tolford
Tim spent many hours as a boy watching his three uncles (all carpenters/tradesman by necessity), one of which was a finish carpenter and grandfather who was a master finish carpenter. This is where the knowledge became seated in his memory for future practical uses.
T. K. (Tim) Tolford accepted his first job as a laborer on a framing crew 22 years ago in 1986 building market homes. As one of a crew of three, Tim had to do quickly learn the trade as an equal to the other carpenters to help them keep up with quotas and deadlines. It was a great experience! A few years after, Tim went to a different crew ... exterior trim. Eventually, Tim found his niche as an interior trim carpenter with a company specializing in finish trim and decks. This is also where knowledge and experience of building decks was attained.
Builders included: Drees, Henry Fisher, Zaring. Custom builders such as Fisher and Christopher Robin.
After many years of working for others, and experiencing various capacities of remodeling, construction and general handyman jobs, Tim decided to make it official and established his trade into a business in 2002 as T.K. Tolford-Handyman which is now T. K. Tolford Renovation, Remodeling and Handyman Services.
