Attic stairs are available in wood and aluminum. Aluminum has a capacity of 250 pounds where as the comparably priced wood stairs will only hold 200 pounds. Keep in mind the weight you are carrying will add to the load on the stairs as you climb.
Access doors can be painted to match the ceiling, or stained to match existing wood trim.
The door may be accessible by a hook and pole, or a string. |
