T. K. (Tim) Tolford accepted his first job as a laborer on a framing crew building market homes. As one of a crew of three, Tim had to do as much carpentry as the other two carpenters to keep up with quotas and deadlines. It was a great experience. A few years after, Tim went to a different crew ... exterior trim. Eventually, Tim went to his final construction company where he became proficient at interior trim and decks with a trim/deck company.
Tim spent many hours as a boy watching his three uncles (all carpenters/tradesman by necessity), one of which was a finish carpenter and Tim's grandfather who was a master trim carpenter. This is where the knowledge became seated in his memory for future practical uses.
After many years of working for others, and experiencing various capacities of remodelling, construction and general handyman jobs, Tim decided to make it official and established his trade into a business in 2002 as T.K. Tolford-Handyman which is now T. K. Tolford Renovation, Remodelling and Handyman Services.
